Childhood Asthma

Asthma is the leading serious chronic illness in children, with 6.3 million children diagnosed with the disease, according to the American Lung Association. Some symptoms of asthma include wheezing, a persistent cough, frequent respiratory infections, chest tightness and shortness of breath. A child with any of these symptoms should be evaluated for asthma.
